I’ve painted on and off since A level art at school, and I’ve always been enthralled by visual art, from the masters to controversial contemporary artists.

Now I’m returning to painting with a vigour and renewed obsessive passion after a break of many years.

For me painting begins with something real (a still life, a landscape or city scape - often inspired by one of my own photographs), but most often moves towards expressive abstraction. And the more I paint the further along that journey I go.
